Our needs included 3 buildings on 1 block with adequate parking lot to accommodate a vehicle. Our doors allow for ingress/egress from the large hallways, and we just needed something that would work. We started our exploration on Craigslist, and found 3 cars within the region we were willing to search. After talking to each of the sellers, we decided to go look at two. We remembered to take 3 batteries from our boat with us. We tested the cars, and chose the stronger one. Once home, we followed the simple checklist and upgraded the batteries to be UL compliant, OSHA approved for indoor use, and keep our fire Marshall happy. I am happy to report that we have passed both a OSHA inspection and Fire Marshall inspection of our grounds, and particularly the golf car. Each took a good hard look at those new Lifeline AGM batteries fashioned in the battery bay. They couldn`t believe that we had mounted the batteries on their sides, that they were compliant for indoor use, and or that they were fire rated. It all started with that conversation regarding the 3, 12 volt Lifeline batteries we purchased for the boat.
